Abstract
This research aims at exploring the effect of the 9/11 on Urdu novels. Although, the incident took place thousands miles far from ُPakistan, however, it impacted the major spheres of life in Pakistan. Along with influencing the politics, economics and social lives of a lot of Pakistanis, 9/11 also affected Urdu novels. The novels written after the mentioned catastrophic event, reflect it intensely. This research considers Urdu novels written after the 9/11 to trace. To narrow down the research the study was conducted on selected novles ie; Khas-o-Khashak Zmaney and Qalah Jangi by Mustansar Hussain Tarar, Men Dehshat Gard Hon? by Mohsina Jilani, Kala Din by Younus Javed, Pas-e-Aina by Sarfraz Baig and Sifr Se Aik Tak by Mirza Athar Baig have been textually and critically analysed.
