Abstract
The writer in this article has tried to prove that the Independence Movement that culminated in the creation of two, separate independent countries, namely, India and Pakistan, was a result of an all-inclusive endeavour and all and sundry, including scholars, clergy, writers, poets, politicians— from both the religions, Islam and Hinduism — took part in it. He emphasises that due credit to everybody should be given and marginalising on the basis of religion in this regard should be discouraged.
