1) HEC Approved Journal

URDU is approved by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC). URDU is in Y category. Research papers published in URDU are acceptable for promotion and fulfill the criteria for the award of M. Phil. and Ph. D. Degrees as well.

’’اردو‘‘ ہائیر ایجوکیشن کمیشن پاکستان، اسلام آباد (ایچ ای سی)  سے منظور شدہ ہے اور اس وقت زیڈ کیٹگری میں شامل ہے ۔ ایچ ای سی ’’اردو‘‘میں شائع ہونے والے تحقیقی مقالات ترقی اور پی ایچ ڈی کی سند کے حصول میں معاون ثابت ہوتے ہیں۔ 

2) Bi-annual Journal

URDU is a bi-annual research journal. Two issues are published every year, one in Summer (June) and the other in Fall (December).

 ’’اردو‘‘ ایک شش ماہی تحقیقی جریدہ ہے۔ سال میں اس کے دوشمارے شائع ہوتے ہیں؛ ایک گرما (جون) اور دوسرا سرما (دسمبر) میں۔

3) Open Access Journal

URDU is an open access journal. The research papers published in this journal can be read online and downloaded free of cost in PDF format.

 ’’اردو‘‘  ایک اوپن ایکسس جرنل ہے، اس میں شائع ہونے والے تمام مقالے مفت آن لائن پڑھے اور ڈاؤن لوڈ کیے جا سکتے ہیں۔

5) Reputed Editorial Board & Advisory Board

6) Plagiarism Policy

The papers received to URDU passes through the software TURNITIN for plagiarism test. 

 ’’اردو‘‘ کے لیے موصول ہونے والے مقالوں کو سرقہ چیک کرنے والے سوفٹ ویئر TURNITIN سے گزارا جاتا ہے۔

7) Indexing and Abstracting

“Urdu” is indexed with the research journal database of Urdu in Pakistan i.e ‘Isharia Jaraid-e-Urdu’ by Indexation Agency, Department of Urdu, International Islamic University, Islamabad and an International agency PKP Index.

 ’’اردو‘‘ قومی سطح پر تلخیص و اشاریہ سازی کے لیے’’اشاریۂ جرائدِ اردو‘‘، مرکزِ اشاریہ سازی، شعبۂ اردو، بین الاقوامی  اسلامی یونیورسٹی، اسلام آباد اور بین الاقوامی سطح پر پی کے پی انڈیکس کے ساتھ رجسٹرڈ ہے۔

8) Review Process

All the papers received to publish in URDU are sent to two reviews i.e. one national and one international, after erasing the name of the authors from the paper. The decision to publish a paper depends on the approval of both the reviewers.

 ’’اردو‘‘ میں اشاعت کے لیے موصول ہونے والے تمام مقالات، مصنف کا نام ظاہر کیے بِنا،  ایک کاپی ملکی اور ایک کاپی غیرملکی مبصر کو ماہرانہ رائے (Peer Review) کے لیے ارسال کی جاتی ہے ۔ مقالے کی اشاعت کا فیصلہ مبصرین کی منظوری پر منحصر ہوتا ہے۔

9) E-office Policy for Environment Betterment

We are extremely serious in terms of environmental improvement and paper, ink and power savings, and are committed to adopting an international e-office approach to office affairs. That's why the URDU team encourages authors to send their research papers by email, and papers for review are also sent to the reviewers via email and their reports to the reviewers are also emailed. Is called upon to save even the most valuable capital.

انجمن ترقی اردو پاکستان ماحولیاتی بہتری اور کاغذ، روشنائی اور بجلی  کی بچت کے سلسلے میں انتہائی سنجیدہ ہے اور دفتری امور کے لیے ای آفس کا بین الاقوامی طرز  اپنانے کی جانب گامزن ہے۔ اسی لیے ’’اردو‘‘ کی ٹیم مصنّفین کو اپنے مقالات بذریعہ ای میل ارسال کرنے کی جانب متوجہ کرتی ہے نیز تبصرے کے لیے مقالات بھی مبصرین کو ای میل ہی کے ذریعے ارسال کیے جاتے ہیں اور مبصرین سے اُن کی رائے بھی ای میل کے ذریعے منگوائی جاتی ہے تاکہ حتی المقدور سرمایہ بچایا جاسکے۔
