Abstract
Kamal Ahmed Rizvi (1930-2015) was a great and versatile writer of Urdu Literature. Having no match in personality and stature, he is considered as a renowned short story writer, play writer, producer, director, philosopher and translator, simultaneously. He is acclaimed as the King of Humour and Satirical writing, which is a very arduous task.
This paper sheds light on different aspect of his life and work for the benefit of young readers of Urdu literature, particularly for those who have keen interest in progressive writings, he drew the attention of his reader towards social and cultural issues prevailing in the society. His efforts to suggest reforms to address social evils are commendable and deserve appreciation.
