Abstract

Anjuman-e-Kasur established educational madrassa in 1873 to address the educational backwardness of Muslims. Anjuman e Mufeed Aam was founded by mutual consultation in the general meeting of Anjuman. The rulers of the time became its patrons. Deputy Qadir Baksh Khan became its vice President. The Anjuman established four branches of women's and men's madrassas as well as the Darul Hirfat madrassa, where products based on the needs of the people were manufactured. Exhibitions have been set up to sell these products. From time to time, meeting of Anjuman were held in which officials participated and inspected the madrassas with words of praise. The Anjuman's reputation spread to the other cities also. Anjuman e kasur had its own printing press. Its magazine Risala was a great effort to promote the aims of Anjuman.
