Abstract

Prof. Sajjad Baqir Rizvi is a great scholar of Urdu literatue. He is a fine poet, great translator, genius researcher and nob critic. He is a profound scholar and his command on knowledge is not limited only to literature but also covers philosophy, psychology, sociology, political science, history and mysticism. He has a command on Urdu and English languages. He was influenced not only from progressive school of thought but also the influence of Muhammad Hassan Askari can be traced on him. He not only accepts all the ideas of Hassan Askari but many times we can also see him openly criticising the views of Askari. In this article it has been tried to highlight the influence of Hassan Askari's ideas and views on Baqir Rizvi.
