Abstract
This study explores the poetry of Naveed Sadiq through the lens of existentialism, with emphasis on his collection Dooraniyan. His work reflects key existential concerns inner turmoil, self-discovery, and resistance to societal and traditional constraints. Through symbolic and dialogic imagery, his poems engage with themes such as the subjectivity of truth, the burden of freedom, and the individual’s alienation from self and society. Poems like Ek Aawaz Sun and Jis Mera Shehr Tha illuminate his confrontation with existential solitude and the quest for authentic selfhood. Blending philosophical depth with poetic expression, Sadiq transforms his verse into an intellectual and experiential inquiry that prompts readers to question identity, existence, and meaning. This analysis demonstrates how his oeuvre resonates strongly with existential philosophy, weaving freedom, anxiety, and the search for meaning into the core of his poetic vision.
