Abstract
This paper presents a brief overview of the philosophical and literary tradition of Mir Shanasi, from classical tazkiras to the twentieth century, spanning approximately 248 years. It examines major critical writings in chronological order to trace how Mir’s poetic personality and creative philosophy have been interpreted, evaluated, and redefined across different literary periods. This is not merely an explanation of Mir’s poetry but represents a living experience for readers and critics of all ages. The study highlights how each era reinterpreted Mir within its intellectual framework, reflecting both continuity and transformation in Urdu literary criticism.
