Abstract
In this article, poetic grandeur of Mir Taqi Mir has been analysed with specific reference of prosody. Mir mostly chose poetic meter of Muzaray Musamman Akhrab Makfoof Mehzoof Maqsoor for his poetic expression, which is not customary. But after a deep study of his poetry, it is established that Mir is proficient in the use of this poetic meter in such a way that his readers got familiar with this unusual meter. Creative intelligence of Mir has created four hundred and sixteen ghazals, poems, masnavi and elegies in this meter. A brief analysis of this meter in the alphabetical order of radeef has been presented in this article. In the 21st century, it is a prevalent thought that learning prosody spoils poetry of a creative soul, but it has been critically proved by scholar that all the streamline poet of words have well articulated in the craft of prosody which help them to create universal poetry of and from all the ages.
