Doha Metre is related to Hindi Pingal Shastra but in Urdu Prosody also has Doha Wazn from different metre called Bahr can be derived. In this regard Prof. Unwan Chishti was the first to formulate a Wazn-e-Doha, on which Dr. Gyanchand Jain arranged 14 Arkan-e-wazn-e-doha. It is to be seen that what is the practical and technical reality of these couplets (Doha) in Urdu. It is discussed in detail in this article. And it has two parts, the first part deals with the Wazn-e-Doha, created in the title (Alif), and it is considered appropriate to review the arkaan (Foots) of the table of Dr. Jain. (In part B) Although this metre belongs to Hindi Bhasha Pingal, it can also be used very successfully for Urdu couplets (Doha).
